Capital Region ESD 113 High School Art Show

  • The 44th Annual High School Art Show will highlight artwork from students across our region. Student entries will be displayed throughout the main hallway of Capital Region ESD 113.


    Important Dates

    • February 17: Student registration/inventory sheets due to Dianna Avery by 5 pm.
    • February 24: Art pieces must be at Capital Region ESD 113 by 5 pm.
    • March 1 - April 10: Art show is open to the public on weekdays, 8 am - 5 pm.
    • March 29: Participating teachers, students and their guests are invited to a reception.
    • Week of April 13: Teachers pick up their students' artwork from the ESD.

    Registration

    ALL ARTWORK MUST BE ORIGINAL. COPYING IS NOT ACCEPTABLE AND WILL NOT BE JUDGED. Do not submit any artwork copied from published photographs, magazines, book illustrations or other artwork. If there is any doubt as to the originality of the piece of work, do not submit the artwork.

    STUDENTS WHO AGREE TO SELL THEIR ARTWORK: If your student would like to participate in the ESD's regional art show and be considered for a state-level award, the student must agree to sell his/her artwork. 

    Register your student online through OSPI's EDS System by February 17. Print out a copy of each student registration form. The student (or his/her parent/guardian) must sign it.

    Capital Region ESD 113 needs two copies of the registration form for each entry:  

    1. Hand in the original with signature to Dianna Avery at ESD 113.
    2. Attach a copy to the back of the artwork. 
    STUDENTS WHO CHOOSE NOT TO SELL THEIR ARTWORK: If your student chooses not to sell their work, he/she is still welcome to participate in the regional show at Capital Region ESD 113.
     
    Register your student using Capital Region ESD 113's downloadable form by February 17. Only students who agree to sell their artwork may advance to the state show as a regional winner. Print out a copy of each student registration form. The student (or his/her parent/guardian) must sign it.
     
    Capital Region ESD 113 needs two copies of the registration form for each entry:

    Inventory  

    Download the Excel spreadsheet and fill it out entirely. Please double-check your spelling and make sure the artwork information you provide matches the artwork you submit.

    Email your completed spreadsheet to Dianna Avery by February 17. 

    Submission

    All artwork must be ready for display when submitted. Flat work must be matted and or framed (use wire and screw eyes for heavy frames) or other and must be ready to hang. Adhesive picture hangers may be used for light matted work. Framing must be secured.

    WARNING: Large, heavy and/or light, delicate items are often hard to transport, and the risk of loss or damage is thus increased. Neither Capital Region ESD 113 nor the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction is responsible for lost or damaged work. Please make sure all artwork is securely wrapped or coved to insure that safety of the artwork.
