A Bountiful Harvest at the ESD 113 Garden Party

ESD 113 staff members at Garden Party 2022

Sunshine, a produce-laden spread, and good company combined for a celebratory mood across ESD 113 as colleagues came together for the Summer Garden Celebration.

The Summer Garden Celebration is the brainchild of Sare Webster, who came up with the idea to support the ESD values of renewal and stewardship. It is planned as an annual event to bring together everyone after a long summer of work and as an opportunity for equity learning with indigenous topics brought to the forefront.

The luncheon’s earthy theme featured a seed giveaway and a vegetarian menu with staples like grilled corn, various salads, watermelon, etc. Future plans for this event call for a produce giveaway by staff members who grow their own.
