ESD113 Behavior Services support school districts within the Capital Region and their students with behavioral challenges to ensure an equitable and inclusive educational environment. With evidence-based interventions and support, we believe that ALL students can have the same opportunity for growth and success.

ESD113’s Regional Administrators for Behavior Supports utilize evidence-based practices and programs to support students with behavioral challenges. These supports can be implemented directly with 1:1 support and the student or indirectly through professional development, coaching and consultation of teachers, administrators and school staff.

BCBA Services

Our Regional Administrators for Behavior Supports are Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). 

Direct and indirect services aim to provide support to school districts that will aid in increasing districts’ capacity to support ALL students within their schools. 

Services include but are not limited to:

  • RBT Program Supervision
  • Classroom Management Support
  • Special Education Curriculum Support
  • Professional Development
  • Organizational Behavior Management Consultation for Administrators
  • PBIS and MTSS Consultation 
  • Restorative Justice Consultation

RBT Program

Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) support individual students with significant behavior challenges under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). 

Our work and training include:

  • Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies in everyday school settings. 
  • Detailed data collection and reporting.
  • Oversight by a BCBA who can assist with FBAs, BIPs, and ERPs.
  • Attendance of IEPs, staff and parent meetings.

RBTs are CPI and Right Response trained.

The RBT program is SAFETY NET compliant. 

Our Registered Behavior Technicians are ready to support your students’ needs! 

*RBT training, certification and supervision for district paraprofessionals can also be provided by our BCBAs.

No. ABA are a set of evidence-based practices that can effectively be utilized for ALL students regardless of diagnosis. 

What is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)?

The Board Certified Behavior Analyst® (BCBA®) is a graduate-level certification in behavior analysis. Professionals certified at the BCBA level are independent practitioners who provide behavior-analytic services.

BCBAs may supervise the work of Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analysts® (BCaBAs®), Registered Behavior Technicians® (RBTs®), and other professionals who implement behavior-analytic interventions.

What is a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)?

The Registered Behavior Technician® (RBT®) is a paraprofessional certification in behavior analysis. RBTs assist in delivering behavior-analytic services and practice under the direction and close supervision of a BCBA, who is responsible for all work an RBT performs.
