Guiding Good Choices



ESD 113, TumHOPES Community Coalition, and Washington State Healthcare Authority are offering a FREE parenting workshop series! This is a chance to learn from other parents and experts and join a community of other parents and caregivers raising preteens and teens.

You will learn to:

  • Set clear family guidelines on drugs
  • Practice skills that strengthen family bonds
  • Help their child develop healthy behaviors
  • Increase their child’s family involvement

Why join this workshop series?

Guiding Good Choices has lasting impacts four to six years later. Compared to their peers who did not participate in the program, participating youth were:

  • 41% less likely to use alcohol & marijuana
  • 54% less likely to progress to more serious substance abuse
  • 28% more likely to remain drug free

All workshops will be held at Capital Region ESD 113 | 6005 Tyee Dr SW, Tumwater, WA 98512



Who can come?

This is open to ALL parents and caregivers! This series is especially helpful if you have youth aged 9–14.
