Moving Forward Together 2: Student Engagement and Social Emotional Health

Gain insights and discover resources that can mitigate some of the mental and social-emotional challenges experienced by students today. This event is a partnership between the Timberland Regional Library and ESD 113 Capital STEM Alliance.


Event Highlights

Participants will gain insights about:

  • How external factors like housing insecurity, food insecurity, and generational poverty affect student engagement.
  • How family dynamics, including trauma, incarceration, domestic abuse, chronic health problems, and other issues, can adversely impact student attendance, academic engagement, social success, and classroom behavior.
  • How to increase student engagement and academic success through in-school supports and community wraparound services and referrals.
