Washington STEM Data Coalition Info Meeting

Description

Did you know: Washington is one of the most data rich states for preschool-to-workforce data, data security, and data governance. Yet, the data is often inaccessible or not applicable for those who could use it.

Washington STEM, along with regional partners, is launching a preschool to workforce (P20W) data coalition project. The goal is to better understand the current use of and needs for data across the system.

The Capital STEM Alliance is seeking participants in initial stages of this inquiry. Your input and stories will:

  • Build a collective base of knowledge and critical questions for data use cases/needs
  • Provide a base of understanding of your work to engage the data funder community
  • Inform an advocacy strategy to unlock and mobilize P20W data for educators, families, communities, and decision makers
  • Increase access and use of data to drive equitable policy and practice.

Please share this invitation with education and community partners from preschool all the way to the workforce. We’re here to learn from you and better understand the data needs of all those who seek to more equitably provide for priority populations in the Capital Region.

Capital STEM Alliance is able to pay a small stipend to 10 volunteers from our region who join the data coalition.

Please join us to learn more about this coalition. If interested, we will have two more focus group meetings.

The first convening Tuesday, November 15 at 1:00 PM via Zoom.
