Fingerprinting

Bring a valid photo ID, like a driver's license, military ID, or passport, and be ready to pay the fingerprinting fee of $84 + tax. We only accept credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AmEx) or school district purchase orders that include your name and district email contact. Districts can fax the purchase order to 360-464-6995 ahead of time, or you can bring the original with you. 

We do not accept cash or checks.

Come alone to your appointment. We will check your ID before starting the 15-minute fingerprinting process. Make sure your hands and fingers are healthy without cuts or injuries so we can get clear prints.

Sometimes the digital scanner doesn't work well for certain people, and if that happens, you'll need to visit Washington State Patrol in Olympia where they use the traditional ink method instead. To check on your background results, call the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction at 360-725-6135.
