ParaPathways Assessment

Students are more likely to achieve their learning goals when their instructors are knowledgeable and prepared. As an integral part of the education team, paraeducators play a key role in that success. 

ETS ParaPro Testing meets one of the paraeducator minimum employment requirements set by the Professional Educator Standards Board. ETS is currently transitioning from the ParaPro Assessment (1755) to the new ParaPathways Assessment. ParaPathways is a redesigned assessment with updated content and resources aligned to current classroom needs. 

The ParaPro Assessment will no longer be available at any testing site after August 31, 2026. ESD 113 will transition to the new format beginning August 10, 2026.  

The assessment will now be divided into two separate subtests: Reading/Writing (5758) and Math (5759). Candidates must pass both subtests. Subtests may be taken and passed on different days. 

Test prep materials and official assessment results are available on the ETS website. You must register and pay for the ParaPro Assessment before the session date.
