District educators and community members convened once more at the Tyee Site as Capital Region ESD 113 hosted the WASA 113 Awards on May 24. It was a night of fun, food, and friendly faces.
Attendees mingled and enjoyed dinner as the Tumwater High School Jazz Band provided music throughout the event. For the keynote address, this year’s cohort of new superintendents shared their experiences of ESD 113’s onboarding and mentorship program.
Multiple community members across 15 school districts received Community Leadership Awards, while two Yelm students received Student Leadership Awards. Retiring members of ESD 113 were also honored with awards at the event.
