ESD 113 Communications Team Recognized with Eight Statewide Awards

TUMWATER — October 29, 2025 — The communications team at Educational Service District (ESD) 113 received eight statewide awards from the Washington School Public Relations Association (WSPRA) Communications Awards Program.

Recognition in the Communications Award Program represents partnerships between our award-winning communications team and the programs, school districts, and state and regional education partners we serve. All eight awards reflect our shared commitment to creating an educational ecosystem rooted in place, people, and purpose.

Each award includes the category, the name of the project, and the program, district, or agency served.

About ESD 113 and the Communications Team

The purpose of ESD 113 is to ensure excellent and equitable education for all students through service and collaboration. Led by Superintendent Dr. Flip Herndon, we provide services for 44 school districts, one tribal compact school, and approved private schools in Thurston, Mason, Lewis, Grays Harbor, and Pacific counties.

The communications team partners with internal ESD departments and local, regional, and state education agencies to help them achieve their goals through strategic communication. We define success by our clients’ results: increased community engagement, stronger trust with families, and clearer connections between schools and the people they serve. We deliver outcomes through strategic messaging, digital accessibility, graphic design, marketing, photography, social media management, Spanish translation, videography, website design, and writing.
