On May 19, three students from Educational Service District (ESD) 113 received statewide awards at the 53rd annual Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI) Superintendent's Art Show.

Each spring, ESDs hold regional art shows and submit their top 15 pieces to the Superintendent's High School Art Show. Jury committees and representatives from arts and educational organizations select winners for 26 statewide awards.

In our region, students received recognition from OSPI, the Professional Educator Standards Board (PESB), and the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA):

  • Jozey Donze “Death Gives Birth to Life” — Olympia School District, Avanti High School, Cecily Schmidt
