MyTRL Toolkit Updates Support Educators and Students

Student reading and writing in library surrounded by bookshelves, representing independent study and literacy.

MyTRL is a partnership between ESD 113, Timberland Regional Library, and participating school districts in Grays Harbor, Lewis, Mason, Pacific, and Thurston counties. MyTRL facilitates access for K–12 students to TRL’s electronic resources. Special accounts allow students to log in to the resources from school or home, on TRL computers, or on any computer or device, all without needing a physical card. (Parents may choose to opt their student out of MyTRL via Skyward.)

Recently, we updated the MyTRL Toolkit to provide additional information and to help troubleshoot frequently asked questions, since logging in directly to MyTRL resources is not the same as logging into a general TRL account. Educator demo accounts are available in the toolkit for teachers to access resources directly without needing to use a personal account.

TRL is evaluating the Gale electronic resources currently available and may opt to subscribe to a different database publisher for the 2026–27 school year, while aiming for similar subject coverage and academic focus.
