Regional Superintendents Meeting Returns to ESD 113

Washington Superintendent of Public Instruction Chris Reykdal holds a bacon-themed coffee mug

It was a welcome sight as superintendents from the area convened at the Capital Region ESD 113 offices for the Regional Superintendents Meeting on March 23.

For the first time in two years, this group met in the same conference room with the hybrid setup. The gathering saw plenty of smiling faces (yes, real, visible smiles) and laughter as expected after the long in-person break.

Though some were unable to attend in person, they were welcomed via video.

And of course, for those in attendance, there was bacon. Plenty was served between the breakfast and the bacon-themed items that were given away throughout.

Superintendent Dana Anderson kickstarted the jovial mood from the beginning with his signature Zoom call outfit: Business professional on the top, pajama pants on the bottom.

Having a large gathering once again in person, for both business and fellowship, was a significant and welcomed step for ESD 113.
