The Capital Region ESD 113 STEM Network team had their work cut out for them. The team, led by Regional Administrator Scott Killough, had to figure out how to continue science lessons in any learning model. The solution? Cover all the bases.
The team developed at-home science kits to complement the traditional “claw box” kits sent to districts. The kits contain everything students need to continue science learning at home. The materials in the at-home kits are consumable, families do not need to return any items.
Supporting teachers was also part of the work. Killough’s team developed digital modules to provide training and answer questions. Lesson plans and documents are available for download and work with any learning management system.
