Washington state adopted computer science standards for the first time on December 8, 2016. The standards help students build skills in reasoning, communication and solving problems.
The learning standards emphasize technology integration across content areas, not just as an additional topic or separate class. They support teaching students to understand how to use technology appropriately to access information, as well as how to stay safe in a digital environment.
Capital Region ESD 113 helps educators integrate technology in the classroom.
