“Stem Like Me Event” at River Ridge High School

Capital Region ESD 113’s Career Connected Learning team hosted the first “STEM Like Me!” event of the year on February 28 at River Ridge High School in Lacey.
Students in Ms.Hamblin’s biology classes had the opportunity to learn from professionals in the fields of marine biology and veterinary medicine. Students performed an ocean acidification experiment, learned about comparative physiology, and even how to hold a cat or dog while providing medical care.
Thank you to our mentors from the Olympia Estuarium and Hawks Prairie Veterinary Clinic for sharing your passions and career pathways with us!
