Superintendent Search

  1. Refining and improving internal ESD support systems centered on equitable practices
  2. Maintaining and expanding entrepreneurial services based on the needs of our school districts and communities
  3. Balancing the diverse needs of small rural districts and larger districts
  4. Fostering a positive agency culture of belonging, particularly with field-based staff
  5. Expanding relationships within our region and with various state- and national-level partners
  6. Acquiring new facilities and creating a consistent, equitable, educational experience across all ESD spaces
  7. Managing risk and uncertainty in the face of funding fluctuations, for example, the approaching ESSER funding cliff
  8. Ensuring compliance with laws and regulations
  9. Attracting and retaining top talent, especially in early learning and special education

  1. Seeking new ways to Close Gaps, Grow People, Influence Change, and Eradicate Racism
  2. Expanding leadership and building capacity to respond to local needs in diversity, equity, and inclusion
  3. Growing systems of support for incoming superintendents, principals, and other educational leaders
  4. Building the ESD’s capacity to serve our region’s school districts in the areas of mental health and social/emotional challenges, teaching and learning, early childhood, and fiscal support
  5. Launching regional centers of care for students needing behavioral support
  6. Working collaboratively with the other 8 ESDs to ensure coordinated, high-quality support across the state

  • Successful teaching and administration experience, with a pattern of at least 5 years of increasing administrative responsibility

Salary range is $258K – $258K. Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, Life/AD&D insurance, FSA/DCAP, LTD insurance, Retirement/DCP, EAP, Annual/Sick Leave and Holiday Pay.
